10 to 15 times more potent than Ondansetron

• Reduces the activity of the vagus nerve and deactivates the vomiting centres of the brain
• More effective than ondansetron in preventing PONV
• It also has little effect on vomiting caused by motion sickness
• Does not have any effect on dopamine or muscarinic centres
